Johnny Ruettiger Freshman-6'2"-190 Outfielder Bats: L Throws: L Arizona State Hometown: Joliet, IL

The left handed outfielder was a two year captain in both football and baseball at Joliet Catholic Academy in Joliet, Ill.  As a senior in baseball, Johnny was named a Rawlings All-American, conference player of the year, and first team all-state.  The decorated season produced a .450 batting average at the plate and an 11-2 record on the hill.  Johnny was a 35th round pick of the Texas Rangers in the 2008 draft.  His uncle, Dan Ruettiger, is the subject of the 1993 movie “Rudy.”
