For Winthrop in 2008, Eddie hit .287 with 13 home runs and 39 RBI on his way to Freshman All-American honors from Collegiate Baseball and Ping!, as well as earning second-team all-conference honors.  At Ursuline High School in Youngstown, Ohio, he was voted to the All-Northeast Ohio State Team as a senior.  Eddie is majoring in sports management.
