A five-time combined letter winner in baseball and football, Kevin was named the 4A Player of the Year by the North Carolina Baseball Coaches Association in 2008. As a senior at Fuquay Varina High School he went 4-2 on the mound with a 1.21 ERA and 87 strikeouts. At the plate he hit .533 with 48 RBIs, helping his team to a 23-3 record. Kevin has not yet declared a major at East Carolina.
