Improvements Planned

The Hyannis Harbor Hawks have received a $700,000 grant to make improvements at Judy Walden Scarafile Field at McKeon Park.


Pepiot Pitcher of the Week

Ryan Pepiot (Butler) has been nearly unhittable over the past week. And on Tuesday he earned recognition for it. The Cape Cod League announced that Pepiot won Coca-Cola Pitcher of the Week.


A call from the Cape

"As he waited, Bradley’s thoughts may have drifted to much earlier in the day, which began with a phone call back on the Cape from Tino DiGiovanni, one of his family hosts in 2009 when Bradley played for the Hyannis Mets."

Chad Gassman - Head Coach & Athletic Director Judson University

Gassman serves as both the head baseball coach and the Athletic Director after coming from the University of Pikeville (KY). He had been the head baseball coach for three seasons. He has been able to consistently improve his teams each year with his final season at Pikeville ending in the semi-finals of the conference tournament. He started as the Hyannis Harbor Hawks pitching coach in 2008. He would then go on to become the head coach the following year and win Coach of the Year in 2011. As head coach he has won three Western Division titles of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

Ron Polk - Volunteer Assistant Alabama Birmingham

Long-time head baseball coach at Mississippi State Bulldogs and is considered the "Father of SEC Baseball". He is by far the winningest coach in school and SEC history in all sports. In 31 seasons as an SEC coach, he has to date compiled a 1139-590-2 (.667) record. His career record stands at 1373-702-2. He currently ranks 8th on the all time wins list. His teams have won five Southeastern Conference championships and made it to the College World Series eight times.

Education: Kean University, Kean University of New Jersey, St. Leo University. 1990 USA Junior National Team Pitching Coach World Championships (Cuba); 1991 Pitching Coach Erie NY/Penn League; 1992-93 Pitching Coach.

Shawn Manfredo - Associate Head Coach UMASS Dartmouth

Shawn Manfredo will be entering his seventh year as a member of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth coaching staff. He has occupied various coaching roles including first and third base coach, catchers coach, and recruiting coordinator. In 2013, Manfredo was named pitching coach, and at the end of the 2014 season was tabbed Associate Head Baseball Coach.

In his five years as pitching coach, the Corsairs have had their team earned run average (ERA) fall by nearly three runs per game. In 2015, the Corsairs logged a 3.87 ERA, the lowest in school history, while holding opponents to a .267 batting average. In 2016, the staff led the Little East Conference in ERA for the first time in the program's existence.
